What Should I Feel During an Acupuncture Treatment?

6/4/2016

PictureAhhh...relaxation
People are often surprised at how relaxed they feel after acupuncture.

But what about during a treatment?

Sometimes people feel like they are floating on a cloud, sleepy or one of their arms or legs feels heavy or a warm sensation. Sometimes people feel like something is moving away from a needle or a tingling sensation in another part of the body. And sometimes, you don’t feel anything at all, just relaxed, peaceful, and calm. And that’s okay too.

One thing you should never feel is burning, sharp pain or pinching around a needle. if so, let me know and I’ll remove it. Once the needles are in, you really shouldn’t feel them.
