How big are the needles?

6/1/2016

“How big are the needles? “

This is the first question I’m usually asked.

“I’m scared of needles.”

I understand. Everyone is on their first visit. I tell people that the acupuncture needles I use are the size and thickness of a cat whisker. Seriously.

To help ease any anxiety or fears around the needles, let me share a picture with you.

On the left is one of my cat’s whiskers that I found on the floor.

On the right is one of my acupuncture needles.

My acupuncture needles are very thin and flexible. Each needle is sterile and used only once. I never reuse needles.

P.S. I want to thank my lovely assistant, Shadow, for his whisker.
