Okay, technically this is two questions but one usually follows the other, so I’ll answer them both.
I am 43 years old and I’ve been doing acupuncture for nine years. I studied Chinese medicine for four years in Portland, Oregon and had a private practice there until recently moving back to my hometown of Newark, Ohio.
How many of you have ever asked your doctor these questions? Slim to none, I’m guessing. What is great is that my patients feel comfortable enough to ask me these types of questions. I don’t mind. It builds trust and people are curious. Sharing is okay. I certainly ask you many questions during your treatment, so I completely understand if you’d like to get to know me better too. Being able to talk openly and feeling comfortable with any doctor is essential to your healing, so don't be afraid to ask questions, (whether it's about your treatment or what I did over the weekend).
